Skiers of my acquaintance are complaining of the near total lack of snow up in the hills so far this year. Our local forecast period is "clear and pleasant" except for the threat of showers on Friday (Joy!)
What snow there was is pretty much gone now. It was enough to leave a nice white layer on the lawns and cooler sections of the roads, and left a lovely dusting on the wreath I hung on the back gate. Covered the lower quarter of the satellite dish, which was enough to knock out reception until brushed off.
We're supposed to get a deep freeze over the next couple of days, with the coldest T-day in 50 years a possibility. Then back to damp and 40s, which frankly, sucks.
