Sunday afternoon

ksmithI swore I was going to spend the day in the coolth today, and I am. Went out this morning to grocery shop. If I'm still feeling energetic later, dinner will consist of roasted eggplant and zucchini tossed with pasta. I'll throw in a few cherry tomatoes--I picked two good-sized handfuls today, and plenty of others are starting to ripen. Still no sign of the Black Crim and Roma following suit, but I am hopeful given that we are looking at a week of 80s and 90s. If all those tomatoes decide to ripen at once, I may find myself cooking up a mess o' sauce in the next couple of weeks.
The pups are sacked out on the floor. Once it creeps into the 90s, even Gaby prefers to stay inside. King, of course, dislikes any temp above 80F. Mid-70s, if there are bugs.
It's close to 90F in the shade. The lawn could use a pass with the mower, but you couldn't pay me enough to go out there today. I worked up a sweat just standing and harvesting tomatoes.
We're under t-storm watch until 6pm, and some spots on the map look scary. I can deal with the rain, but I would hate to lose power at a time like this.
