ksmithUp before 7am. Much done today--hardware store for furnace filters and birdseed and other Fall staples. Drove relative to and from dentist. Lunch out, grocery shopping, then home. Too nice a day to stay inside, so yardwork was done--the lawn is mowed, and two bags of pine needles raked up.
Still working on the Jani-Lucien scene a snip of which I posted several days ago. I've added dialogue and wiped it out, added it and wiped it out. Four pages here. Two pages there. I don't know what's more irritating, finding that you've had the characters say the same thing four different ways or finding that other things that need saying just won't fit.
Finally figured out what Lucien says to Jani that stops her cold.
Now I'm working out a short fight sequence. Lucien winds up with a split lip, and he and Jani weren't doing anything fun at the time either.
